Homemade Almond Milk

Here is the recipe for almond milk that you have been waiting for!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of raw almonds (or any nut or seed you want to use!)
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 Tbs of vanilla
  • 4 dates or maple syrup to sweeten

How to:

  • Soak the almonds overnight, this make them easier to blend, creamier and more easily digested (because it this process breaks down the phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors)     
  • Put almonds and water in your blender
  • Blend until smooth
  • Pour through a nut milk bag (or cheese cloth)
  • Save the pulp for another recipe (going to share a yummy granola bar recipe)
  • Put the almond milk back into the blender and add your dates and vanilla
