Mint Chocolate Energy Balls

This is a great recipe that can be modified into many different flavors and variations.



  • 16 fresh dates (if they are hard, soak them in hot water to soften before blending)
  • 4 Tbs of cocoa powder or raw cacao
  • 4 Tbs of almond butter (any nut or seed butter will do)
  • 2 drops of peppermint essential oil (such a great minty flavour with this)
  • 2 Tbs of maple syrup (optional)

*for extra crunch, you can add 1 tsp of chia and 1tsp of hemp hearts

How to:

Blend the dates until smooth and then add the rest of the ingredients into the blender until smooth.  Roll into small energy ball size.  Roll your balls into shredded coconut.

**you can roll them in anything you want: sesame seeds, chia, hemp hearts and roll in matcha for the matcha energy balls
