Week 3 of the Smoothie Challenge:

Green Pineapple



1 pineapple, sliced 2 kg
1/2 avocados, cut into chunks 70 g
2 bananas, cut into chunks 300 g
4 tbsp Italian parsley, fresh, coarsely chopped 20 g
1 tsp gingerroot, coarsely grated 4 g
100 g soft/silken tofu 7 tbsp
2 cups coconut water 500 mL
2 cups water 500 mL
2 1/4 tsp chia seeds 8 g

Before you start

A blender or food processor will be very useful for this recipe.


  1. Place the ingredients in a food processor or blender.
  2. Process on the highest speed until a well-blended purée forms, about 1-2 min, stopping to scrape down the sides of the container once or twice. Serve.
