Week 3 of the Studio Vie Smoothie Challenge

Carda Nana – Banana cardamom smoothie with cashew milk, spinach and honey.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of plain raw cashews
  • 2 pods of cardamom, hulled *
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 1 1/2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup of baby spinach
  • 1 Tb of honey
  • pinch of salt

Blend cashews, cardamom, lemon juice and water until completely smooth.  Add the frozen bananas, spinach, honey and salt and blend until smooth.

*The pods of cardamom need to be opened and you only use the cardamom seeds for this recipe: discard the husk.
