Mint Chocolate Energy Balls
This is a great recipe that can be modified into many different flavors and variations. Ingredients:
16 fresh dates (if they are hard, soak them in hot water to soften before blending)
4 Tbs of cocoa powder or raw cacao
4 Tbs of almond butter (any nut or seed butter will do)
2 drops of peppermint essential oil (such a great minty flavour with this)
2 Tbs of maple syrup (optional)
*for extra crunch, you can add 1 tsp of chia and 1tsp of hemp heartsHow to:Blend the dates until smooth and then add the rest of the ingredients into the blender until smooth. Roll into small energy ball size.
