Homemade Popsicles

I recently posted a picture of some homemade popsicles I had made over a beautiful and sunny early May weekend and had a few people ask for the recipe...so here it is!!  It's a very flexible recipe in that you can really use whatever frozen fruit or fruit you have in the house at the time and often I just wing it....try it out and let me know what you think! The secret to making these popsicles is basically making a very thick smoothie and then poring them into your popsicle moulds.  It helps to freeze some bananas to have on hand (makes the smoothie thicker and creamier)My favorite combos are: pineaple-mango, banana-mango-vanilla, blueberry-pineapple, blueberry-banana-vanilla and you can always add spinach or kale to make them green!  The blueberry ones come out a nice pretty dark purple...Banana Mango Vanilla PopsicleIngredients:

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup of mango

  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract or 1/2 tsp of vanilla powder

  • 1/2 cup of plant based milk of choice

  • you want the liquid to be a little less than the fruits and contents in your blender but add a little water if needed to blend everything properly but not too much to make sure it stays thick!

How to:

  • Add all of the above ingredients into the blender, start to blend and add a little water until it blends properly and stays thick!

Pour the contents into your popsicle moulds and let freeze overnight or for a few hours.Enjoy and let me know how they turn out!
