Week 3 of the Smoothie Challenge:
Green Pineapple
Ingredients
| 1 | pineapple, sliced | 2 kg | ||
| 1/2 | avocados, cut into chunks | 70 g | ||
| 2 | bananas, cut into chunks | 300 g | ||
| 4 tbsp | Italian parsley, fresh, coarsely chopped | 20 g | ||
| 1 tsp | gingerroot, coarsely grated | 4 g | ||
| 100 g | soft/silken tofu | 7 tbsp | ||
| 2 cups | coconut water | 500 mL | ||
| 2 cups | water | 500 mL | ||
| 2 1/4 tsp | chia seeds | 8 g |
Before you start
A blender or food processor will be very useful for this recipe.
Method
- Place the ingredients in a food processor or blender.
- Process on the highest speed until a well-blended purée forms, about 1-2 min, stopping to scrape down the sides of the container once or twice. Serve.
