What's All the Hype with Weighted Vests?!
Thought I would talk about the hype surrounding weighted vests especially during the Perimenopause & Menopause Period!
The weighted vest can actually be a great addition to your tool box to help fight against bone and muscle mass loss due to the decrease in estrogen that happens in this time period. The added weight of the vest cab help build strength & bone density by adding resistance to your exercises and your regular day to day activities. You can use it for your walks, household chores and in addition to your workouts for added weight. It also helps to improve your balance & stability! It gets your heart rate up without having to go for a run…
I started using a weighted vest after my wrist surgery since I couldn’t hold free weights for the first month or so and will continue to use it to add weight to my exercises and give it a try on my walks too!
**Weighted vests are a great addition for anyone else who wants to use it to increase intensity, build strength and endurance in your workouts for general fitness goals or to help you in your sport!
